As the “Country Music Capital of the World,” Nashville is world renowned for its music and honky-tonks. Although music influences virtually every aspect of modern life in the cosmopolitan city, Nashville has a diverse and storied history. Cityscape Stitchers can experience the capital of Tennessee in all of its glory by staying right in the heart of downtown. Stitchers will be welcomed to the city with a group dinner. From the hotel, Cityscape Stitchers will take two trolley tours and experience the best that Nashville offers: the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the historic Ryman Auditorium, honky-tonks, and much more. A special treat will be a lunch and time to explore and shop at Nashville Needlework. Stitchers will visit Belmont Mansion, an Italian Villa style estate which has been meticulously restored. There will be time to share your love of needlework in the stitching lounge. Nashville is where music is inspired, created, recorded, and performed. Music City is ready for you to come explore it.

Adelicia and Joseph Acklen built Belmont Mansion in the Italian Villa style in 1853 as a country estate and summer retreat from their Louisiana plantations. There they raised their family in Adelicia's native Nashville until December 1864 when the 4th Corps of the Union Army occupied the house and grounds before the Battle of Nashville. A majority of rooms in Belmont Mansion have been meticulously restored, complete with original and period furniture, artwork and statuary.
